Jonathon Blackburn

Head of Impact and Evaluation

Jonathon has over 15 years’ experience of designing and conducting evaluation and research in real-world settings at local and national level.

Most recently, Jonathon led the Family Hubs Research and Analysis Unit at Department for Education and was previously their Head of Early Years Research and Evaluation. Prior to the civil service, Jonathon worked in local government evaluation and research roles in Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and at Arts Council England, building evaluation capacity in the cultural and creative industries.

Jonathon is a trustee for a children’s emotional health and family support charity in West Yorkshire and spent six years as a listening volunteer for a suicide support charity. He holds a BSc in Geography from Durham University, an MA in Social and Public Policy from University of Leeds and is nearing completion of a PGCert in Applied Health Sciences from University of Aberdeen.
