Kim has a decade of experience in communications and marketing, having previously worked in NGOs in South Africa focusing on strategic communications in HIV. After moving to the UK and before joining EIF, Kim worked in communications at Queen Mary University of London, and at human rights charity Freedom from Torture.

Kim studied English Literature and Sociology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has a BA Honours in Sociology.
